Introduction
Justiss Oil Company, Inc. is a privately owned, family operated drilling, exploration, production and well servicing company. Originally Justiss-Mears Oil Company, the business was founded in 1946 by J.F. "Jick" Justiss Sr. and C.G. Mears. The name was changed to "Justiss Oil Company" in 1980 as the Mears family sold their interest in the company. Since that time, the company has continued to prosper under the direction of James Justiss, Jr.
Also under the Justiss umbrella are two
manufacturing divisions doing business in the domestic as well as international
markets, Baker Tank
Company and Altech located in
