Prohibited Substances Policy

Any use, possession, or distribution of prohibited substances by any person on Justiss Oil Company or Justiss job sites poses a serious threat to the safety and well-being of personnel and property and to the efficiency and integrity of operations and is strictly prohibited.  Justiss Oil Company, Inc. will not tolerate the unauthorized use of prohibited drugs, narcotics, or alcohol on Justiss property or job sites under Justiss control, whether such property is owned, leased, or used by Justiss, or by Justiss employees, at any time or place.  

Prohibited substances include:  illegal drugs, controlled substances, look-alike drugs, designer drugs, synthetic drugs, unauthorized prescription drugs, prescription drugs not used for their prescribed purpose, alcohol, drug paraphernalia, and similar items used for substance abuse.

Justiss reserves the right, at all times without prior announcement, to conduct searches or inspections of personal effects, lockers, baggage, and vehicles of any person subject to the policy, for the purpose of determining if such a person is in possession of a prohibited substance.  These searches may include the taking of blood or urine samples to determine the presence of unauthorized substances.

Any employee has the option to voluntarily terminate employment with Justiss Oil Company, Inc. rather than submit to a search.  Any employee found to have identifiable traces of a prohibited substance entered the employee's system, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate discharge.
